LASER EYE

Your LASIK in Dubai UAE

It’s as simple as that!

A LASIK treatment here in Dubai includes three steps: preliminary investigation, the laser treatment itself, and a thorough follow up procedure. Our laser specialist handles your case personally. He knows the details of your individual situation.

According to the results of the preliminary analysis, we inform you of what a laser treatment could achieve in your specific case. We are open and honest in this procedure. This means that we also acknowledge the limits of LASIK’s effectiveness in certain cases.

Following the preliminary assessment, you can think over your decision for or against laser treatment in calm, and without time constraints. We won't talk you into anything. We put our principles into practice: the eye examination and the laser treatment don’t take place on the same day.

If you do choose laser eye surgery, arrange an appointment with us. You should plan for about an hour, and come accompanied. The operation takes place in our laser operations room, under the highest standards of hygiene.

A local anaesthetic in the form of eyedrops is administered at first, so that the laser procedure causes no pain. The eye area is disinfected and placed under a sterile cover. A small device restrains the eyelid, protecting the laser field from involuntary movements of the lid.

Now the operation begins. A suction ring is placed on the eye, then the precision laser removes a very thin layer of the cornea. This flap is carefully folded to the side. The laser now goes to work: it models the cornea precisely, following the pattern individually determined for your eye.

An ultra-fast image tracking system follows involuntary eye movements and adjusts for them accordingly. This means that the laser beam always maintains its connection with the pre-calculated area of the cornea. Our laser specialist oversees the operation through a microscope, always retaining full control over the process.
As a patient, you hear the laser at work, but feel nothing.

After the laser process, the area around the eye is again cleaned and rinsed. Then the corneal flap is folded back into place. After a few minutes, it will hold firmly in position again.

After a brief recovery period, our laser specialist checks the results of the operation. You can than return home. You won’t need a bandage or dressing, only to wear protective glasses for about two days.

We conduct a thorough follow-up, carrying out post-operation checkups on the day after the operation, after one week, one month, three months, six months, and finally after a year.

We are here for you!
