HyperopiaHyperopia - The eyeball is too short.Farsightedness or hyperopia occurs when the eyeball is too short. When viewing a nearby object with hyperopia, the eye can’t concentrate the light strongly enough. Nearby objects appear blurred on the retina. People suffering from hyperobia see nearby objects out of focus. The light from distant objects, on the other hand, can be concentrated normally. People with hyperopia see clearly at long distances. However, hyperopia is different to presbyopia. Many problems are caused by continual strain on the eye muscles. People with hyperopia suffer more commonly from eye pain, headaches, burning eyes and eye inflammation, and people suffering from hyperobia tire more quickly. Hyperopia puts more strain on the muscle which controls the focus of the lens as it changes between long and short vision. For a person suffering from hyperopia, this muscle never gets a break.
